YouTube creates 200 jobs

Google-owned video site, YouTube, announced plans today that it is to create 200 new jobs.
The company announced the 30pc staff expansion today in a blog posting.
It also wrote about the success of the website saying that more than 35 hours of video are uploaded to its site every minute, with videos viewed over 2 billion times a day.
YouTube, which already employs 650 staff, said the majority of the new jobs will be at its San Bruno, California headquarters, with the remainder in cities including Milan, St. Petersburg, Tokyo and Zurich. The jobs on offer range from advertising, sales to engineering positions.
In 2006, Google acquired YouTube for $1.65bn and currently operates as a subsidiary of Google.
